Key West, Florida . . . the southern most point in the United States . . . the southern terminus of US Highway 1 that begins in Maine . . . and the most gay-friendly place on the continent . . . the way Florida used to be . . . memories of Ernest Hemingway . . . shuttered cottages with brightly colored trim . . . palm trees swaying in the Caribbean breezes . . . rum pentiful and dark served with Coca-cola and wedges of lime . . . oh how delighfully wonderful . . . the top picture is an actual picture taken from the deck of the Carnival Freedom docked in Key West (starboard side) . . . nice view!
